Skagerak - Superior Design

Skagerak is a 100% Danish owned company founded in 1976 with headquarters in Hadsund. Skagerak's reputation as a premier designer and manufacturer of fine teak furniture is unsurpassed. Skagerak furniture and accessories are sold through dealers throughout Europe and recently have become available in America.

Skagerak develops, markets and sells quality products for the use in private homes - outdoor as well as indoor. Skagerak's products primarily appeal to consumers who value high quality, design and originality, when they buy durable consumer goods.

Skagerak ensures that the teak they use comes from trees between 30 and 50 years old. The wood from teak trees younger than 20 years old does not yet contain the important oil that makes teak ideal for outdoor furniture. In additional, Skagerak grows its teak in plantations so that forests are not destroyed. Skagerak teak is kiln dried for three to four weeks. This dries the wood to the optimum humidity and helps eliminate cracks.
