How do I maintain my mailpost of Mayne?
Our mailbox posts are designed to be maintenance free, and usually only require the occasional rinse with a garden hose. But if a more serious cleaning is necessary due to extremely dirty atmospheric conditions, a soft bristled brush with detergent or even a mild bleach solution in conjunction with a light power washer will do the trick. Cleaning products should always be tested on a hidden section of your product before using on exposed areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is your Guarantee policy?
Our products come with a 15 year warranty that covers any defects in materials and workmanship.
What are Mayne mail posts made of?
Mayne mail posts are rotomolded using high quality polyethylene. The resin includes built in UV inhibitors offering long lasting protection from the elements (products won’t yellow or discolor).
What is included with a Mayne mailbox post?
We include the decorative post, mailbox arm, and planter (planter applies to our Newport and Westbrook models). In the arm package you’ll find the necessary hardware and instruction sheets for that particular model.
How are Mayne posts installed?
Mayne mail posts install easily over a 4x4 wood post (pressure treated recommended). The wood post is NOT included and can be purchased from your local hardware or lumber retailer. For added strength we recommend securing the wood post in place with quick set concrete.
How difficult will my product be to assemble?
Assembly is rated as moderate and of course depends on the mail post and the person assembling. All mail posts come with detailed instructions and technical support is available to help you with assembly.
Are mailboxes included with Mayne mailbox posts?
No, mailboxes are NOT included. Due to the various styles, sizes, and price points we encourage to the customer to purchase their own mailbox from their local hardware store or preferred online retailer.
How do I mount my mailbox on a Mayne post?
Mailboxes are typically mounted using brackets, mounting plates, or by securing the box directly to the arm using screws or bolts. The Newport Plus and Westbrook Plus require mounting brackets or plates. The Dover, Signature Plus, Rockport, and Liberty posts have mailbox arms that are molded specifically to allow the mailbox to sit flush on the arm. The box can be secured using a nut and bolt combination (typically four 1 ¾” bolts is adequate).
Can I paint a Mayne mail post?
While there are paints available for vinyl products nothing has been made specifically for polyethylene. We don’t recommend painting your Mayne products and choosing to do so is done at your own discretion and will void your warranty.
Can I purchase address plaques?
Yes, various styles are available that mount on this side of the paper holders, planters, and vertically in the inset panel of the post. These items are available through Whitehall Products (Tel: 800-728-2164).
What is the best way to care for my Mayne mail post?
To clean your Mayne products simply wash with water and soap solution. For best results we recommend using a pressure washer.
